It has come to our attention that scam emails alleging to be from or associated with UNICEF are claiming to appeal for donation to fund the emergency relief in Japan and requesting personal information. We alert the public to be mindful of emails which involve fraudulent use of UNICEF’s name and logo. To protect yourselves from frauds, please check for UNICEF’s full name: United Nations Children’s Fund, and verify the email address to ensure that it matches our official domain name “unicef.org.hk”. Please do not, in any way, reply to unverified or suspicious emails, or provide your personal information or contact information. To ensure absolute safety and help prevent further circulation of such scam mails, please contact us at 2833-6139 or email to [email protected] immediately to verify or report on suspicious or fraudulent emails.
