In recent decades, we have seen improvement in aspects such as child health, well-being and child rights due to generous partners and supporters. More children survive beyond their first five years of life, and fewer are stunted by malnutrition.
Yet, despite the progress, many parts of the world continue to suffer from serious challenges, especially those caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Preventable-diseases, malnutrition, lack of education and other issues still plague countless vulnerable children.

To ensure every child survives and thrives, UNICEF works with govemments and partners to improve outcomes in areas of
- Maternal, newborn and child health
- Nutrition
- Water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH)
- HIV prevention and treatment
- Education and early childhood development
- Social inclusion
- Protection
- Emergencies preparedness
These solutions come in the form of vaccines, medicines, nutritional supplements, training for community health workers and teachers, and leaming materials for students.......UNICEF's frontline staff need to cross battle lines and climb mountains to deliver life-saving supplies and services to these hardest-to-reach children. But, we can't do it alone.
